GMC Sierra 1500 Sierra Grande (1976)

Price: US $3,000.00
Up for bids is a very nice, mostly original 76 GMC truck. This is the Sierra Grande Edition. And also, is the Heavy Half Edition. Very rare and hard to come by.
Yes, the color is original to the truck. Some panels have been repainted through out the years, due to fading. Not sure which ones. Good color match. Most paint is original. I stripped and re sprayed the hood black. The paint was fading and basically no good. I wanted to preserve the hood. The roof needs a repaint (thin paint and slight surface rust). The doors jams are showing metal(paint worn out), but no rust. The sides of the truck will buff out really nice. It comes with the camper shell. The floor is insulated. And the bed light works. I am the second owner of this GMC. And have owned it for about 25 years. I bought it from the original owner. I am a Master Mechanic and have kept up with maintenance on a regular basis. And also performed any repairs as needed.
The chrome is in very nice condition. The grille is a billet style steel grille. The rear bumper is heavy duty. And there is a separate tow hitch(installed to the frame). The tires are decent (31/1050/15). Front tires are at 7/32's. Rear tires are at 4/32's. As you can see it has the chrome steel wheels. Which are in pretty nice condition for their age. They've been on the truck for over 20 years. And still shine! Albeit not perfect.
The interior is Burgundy in color. The door panels and Seat need some attention. Bottom of seat is worn(normal wear). It has the original rubber matting on the floor. Which is in still pretty nice condition. Also, the sunvisors are custom made in leather, with Bowtie insignia. All gauges work as they should. I also installed an aftermarket RPM gauge. Works as it should. All lights work as they should.
Rebuilt 350 4 bolt main engine. Numbers matching. Engine has 100k on it. The engine was punched out to a 355 CID. Also balanced. Rebuilt heads 25k ago. They are 194 heads with roller tip rockers.
The battery is two years old.
The transmission was replaced and built. It is a turbo 350, with a 13 torque converter. The transmission was totally redone about 60k ago. It was built to last. Heavy duty clutches and shift kit.
The rear differential is a posi-traction, with 307 gears. just replaced the front u joint. It has about 100k on it.
Options: dual tanks, power steering and power brakes.
Again, this truck has been maintained very well. There are no rust issues. And always has been a California truck.
