Price: US $5,000.00
I bought this vehicle with an in-operable 4x4 condition. I had always wanted a truck with a lift kit etc. I have owned it since May. I repaired the 4x4 with a minor repair (4x4 switch) and this is by far the coolest truck i have ever owned. However, i am almost 50 years old and need knee surgery and have back issues. If only i had this truck 10-15 years ago!
The truck was on consignment locally when it was brought to me for the 4x4 issue. The car lot and the owner declined the diagnostic charge to track down 4x4 issue. I told the owner if it didnt sell to give me a call. Thats how i ended up with it.
We replaced the 4x4 switch and went through the Transfer case for good measure. Also serviced the transmission with new filter and fluids. Short of that, no leaks, drips drains or other problems.
I am not heavily into lift kits , in fact i am not at all into them but from what i understand, this one has been done right. Torsion bars, 6 inch lift , sway bar links all good. It rides smoothly and seamlessly down the highway with no issues. In fact, it rides way smoother than expected. Its just the getting in and out of it that takes a commitment.
The radio is stock, AM/FM with cassette and after market CD player which i have no tried and it had a custom center console with small 13 inch tube TV and VCR. I removed that and bought a simple console from wal mart. The radio is missing nobs but works fine. Mild wear on the leather seats but nothing major. Has 3rd row seating as well.
There are some minor dings and buffs but over all a solid looking nice riding suburban. Paint seems to be fading on top area around doors. Also some scuffs and dings on bumper(rear)
Automatic Transmission and a 454 Engine. Some occaisional harsh engagements but nothing alarming.
If i was to grade this truck, id give it a 8 on 1-10 scale. I had planned to re-do interior and maybe a paint job but just too much work.
The truck was a new mexico/arizona/nevada truck till it came up here so little rust. In fact, no structural rust at all.
Documentation on rebuilt 4l80e trans, front diff work, crate engine install, some shock work but thats it. The guy that owned it had it 10 years. I am not sure of the rear end gears.
I am posting as many pics as i can. I can answer questions or even text pictures if you would like.
If you win auction, payment is due within 7 working days and subsequent pickup within 14 days.
Thanks!
