1989 Honda Civic DX
I bought this car almost ten years ago from a car dealer friend who had received on a trade. It had 168, 861 miles on it then. I haven't done any body work to it. The front end could use some clear coat, but obviously has no effect on vehicle performance.
I have put 50, 000 miles on it since I bought it. It runs great, and drives fast. 5 speed manual.
I hardly touch the gas pedal and the wheels spin. Moves like a hummingbird! I drove it to work regularly which was 35 miles round trip. I would fill the gas tank every two weeks on payday for about 20-40 dollars, depending on gas prices at the time. I averaged 38 mpg highway miles. Really! I checked it every fill up.
Tires still look new; bought them about two years ago. Tiny spots of rust at rear wheel wells, which is fantastic given the age of car. When we purchased it, we put new interior seats out of a Hyundai in it, the seats still look as new. There is a wearing hole in the driver seat. The seats are not faded, what you see is sunshine on the vehicle as pix were taken. There is a piece of right front bumper spoiler missing.
It also comes with air conditioning but needs charged, and we upgraded the radio to a Sony Cd player with remote.
I am selling because I bought a second full size pick up truck last year and rarely drive this Honda now. I have even debated on selling it, because when the occasion to drive it occurred, I would say to myself, this little car is alright!. Then I would delay selling it.. This happened a handful of times. We currently own six vehicles and two motorcycles so this little car is just lonely. It is inspected, good thru October 2016.
These types of cars are rare nowadays. Good for a tight budget, student, etc. Or maybe one of the fast and furious types...
