This is a one owner car. It was purchased at Miller Honda in Van Nuys, California and has only ever been serviced there. The entire service history of the car is stored in their databank.
I was told by the internet sales rep at the time (her name was Karen) that this specific car is the very last first generation Honda Insight brought into North America. This is an extremely rare car. Under 800 were imported to the US this model year, and, in this car-centric city (Los Angeles), I rarely see another one on the road. When I travel to other states, I never see them. It has already reached collector-status with certain car collectors and could fetch a much higher price from a collector than what I've listed the car for here.
It also has the distinction of being the most aerodynamic mass produced vehicle in the history of the world and the highest mileage hybrid ever produced (even to this day).
The car has been meticulously maintained as evidenced by the photographs. It is and has always been a Southern California car, hence the residue-free engine compartment (never driven in snow or on salted roads). The most I've had to do to this car, beyond installing the Hybrid Automotive Grid Charger, is replace a headlight or tail-light bulb. In these cars, it's a simple task. It takes all of three minutes, and the bulbs are available at any auto parts store. As I just installed new headlight bulbs and tail-light bulbs, you should be good to go for a good long while. The previous bulbs lasted nearly five years.
And, I kid you not. The car drives like it did when I exited the dealer parking lot in June of 2006, and the miles per gallon have only slightly decreased from 55 miles per gallon in mixed driving to approximately 52 miles per gallon. If you drive the car as the manufacturer intended (I tend to drive it a little aggressively), you can achieve over 60 miles per gallon on the highway and over 50 miles per gallon in the city. This is real world driving. It's all up to you and how aggressive your driving style is.
The brakes are good for another 20, 000 or 30, 000 miles, possibly longer if you live and drive in a flat area. The a/c works perfectly (it's actually one of the nice a/c units I've seen in a car in this class), and there are new wiper blades front and rear. The tires are also good for another 30, 000 miles and possibly longer, and I recently replaced the engine air filter and cabin air filter.
