Why? This car comes with a history of water damage. Here is what that means for this particular car. There was never a drop of water inside the car. I have the insurance auction pictures that show the markings from insurance co to denote water level, which was roughly 1/4 of the way up tire. So why did the insurance company take ownership? A lot of times, in situations where cars to be evaluated out number manpower of agents to inspect, they will total the entire zip code to deminish the liability on their behalf to their customers and they can do so because they know the cars that are not truly damaged will then auction off to dealers and the public and still command high bids. It's a win win for them and us as savy consumers who like to drive luxury cars without paying retail! We buy all of our cars this way. As previously mentioned, we have owned this car for 2 years and put nearly 50, 000 miles on it. Not even a hint of a problem!
