HISTORY: THIS TRUCK WAS PURCHASED FOR A SMALL FARM IN NE WASHINGTON STATE WHICH IS ONE OF MANY FARMS BEING CONSUMED BY THE LARGE CORPORATIONS NOW. IT OFFERED MANY YEARS OF LOYAL SERVICE FROM ITS INCEPTION UNTIL NOW. THEY USED IT FOR SERVICING THEIR FARM EQUIPTMENT IN THE FIELDS AS WELL AS OTHER LOCAL RIGS IN THE AREA. WHILE MOST CIVILIAN TRUCKS IN THE 50'S WERE STILL 2X4, THIS ALL WHEEL DRIVE TRUCK WAS THE ENVY OF ALL. IT CAME WITH A LARGE PRICE TAG OF AROUND $2, 600. I WAS TOLD BY THE OWNER THAT THE TRUCK ALMOST NEVER LEFT THE AREA AND WAS ALWAYS KEPT IN A BARN DURING ITS DOWN TIME. IT'S FUN TO FIND AN ORIGINAL TRUCK THAT SERVED A PURPOSE OF HARD WORK AND STILL OPERATES AND LOOKS GOOD. THERE IS A LOT OF HISTORY BEHIND THE EQUIPTMENT AND THE WORKERS OF THESE AGRICULTURAL COMMUNITYS. HOPEFULLY THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND MEMORIES WILL BE PASSED ON TO THE PRESENT GENERATIONS AND THE FUTURE GENERATIONS. AND HOPEFULLY SOME OF THE EQUIPTMENT USED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS GREAT ORIGINAL CONDITION, AND CAN BE KEPT IN SUCH CONDITION. HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO OWN A PART OF THAT HISTORY. I AM PRICING THIS TRUCK OUT OF THE REACH OF THE 4X4 MUDDERS THAT WOULD TEAR IT UP. AND GIVING IT THE RESPECT THAT IT DESERVES FOR ITS ORIGINAL CONDITION.
AS YOU CAN SEE THEY HAD ONE FUEL TANK, ONE OIL TANK, TWO AIR HOSES THAT RUN OFF THE TRUCKS COMPRESSOR, A GREASER AND TOOL BOX MOUNTED TO THE BACK OF THE TRUCK. THE TRUCK IS IN GOOD OPERATING MECHANICAL ORDER. THE ENGINE AND TRANNY WORK GOOD. THE ENGINE DOES NOT SMOKE AT START OR WHILE RUNNING. THE TRANNY SHIFTS PERFECT. ALL THE LIGHTS WORK AS THEY SHOULD. THE 4X4 WORKS AS IT SHOULD. THE BRAKES WORK WELL ALSO. THESE TRUCKS WERE OVER BUILT, BUILT LIKE TANKS. I HAVE DRIVEN IT AROUND TOWN, BUT NOT TOO MUCH. THE CAPPED TIRES NEED TO BE REPLACED IF YOUR INTENTION IS TO USE THE TRUCK. IT IS A BOUNCY RIDE DUE TO THE TIRES RIGHT NOW. THE TWO FRONT TIRES ARE FROM SEARS TO DATE THEM.
COSMETICALLY, ALL THE GLASS IS IN GOOD CONDITION. THE BODY SHOWS SIGNS OF USE FROM 58 YEARS. NOTHING MAJOR, BUT IT DOES HAVE SCRATCHES & BRUISES ALL AROUND IT. AGAIN, NONE OF IT IS MAJOR AND IN MY OPINION IT JUST ADDS CHARACTER. THIS IS NOT A GARAGE QUEEN WITH A $20, 000 RESTORATION DONE TO IT. NOR IS THIS A COVERED UP BONDO JOB WITH A HOME OWNER SPECIAL PAINT JOB. THIS IS A VERY HARD TO FIND ORIGINAL CONDITION WORK HORSE. ANY ONE THAT HAS THE CASH CAN BUY A FANCY RESTORATION, THE ORIGINALITY IS THE BEAUTY IN THIS TRUCK, BUT THATS JUST MY PERSPECTIVE. THE INTERIOR FLOOR HAS THE WORST RUST AREA. IT IS 100% ONLY SURFACE RUST THOUGH. IT WOULD NOT TAKE MUCH TO CLEAN IT UP IF DESIRED. I DIDNT WANT TO DO ANYTHING TO THE FLOORS BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT ANYONE TO THINK I WAS HIDING BAD RUST. THE TAIL GATE IS MISSING. THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IS PRETTY CLEAN. THE DOORS SHUT NICE AND SOLID. IT HAS BEEN SITTING IN A BARN FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND HAS THE SMELL OF SITTING IN A BARN. THE DASH, DOORS, SEAT AND HEAD LINER ARE IN GOOD SHAPE. THE ORIGINAL BUILD SHEET IS GLUED TO THE SUN VISOR AND THE OWNERS MANUAL IS IN THE GLOVE BOX. THIS COULD BE A COOL COMPANY/SERVICE TRUCK FOR A HEAVY EQUIPTMENT OPERATOR OR LANDSCAPE COMPANY. IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS, PLEASE EMAIL ME AND LEAVE A # IF YOU WOULD LIKE A CALL BACK. I HAVE A CLEAN AND CLEAR TITLE IN MY NAME.
THANKS, KEVIN

“VERY NICE ALL ORIGINAL. PERFECT PATINA. THIS TRUCK DESERVES TO REMAIN IN ITS ORIGINAL CONDITION. THIS IS NOT A NICELY RESTORED GARAGE QUEEN. NOR IS THIS A BONDO FILLED, HACKED UP, COVER UP RESTORATION. THIS ORIGINAL BEAUTY OFFERS GREAT HISTORY OF THE AMERICAN AGRICULTURAL COMMUNITY.” |
