This is my fully restored 76 Scout 2. I spent about 18 months on the restoration. I am a medical doctor and I usually restore one vehicle per year as a hobby, drive it for several months, and go on to the next project. I generally lose $ on this hobby lol.
She was a former National top 5 in the 90s. Last restoration was 1993. When I bought her the only rust was one quarter panel and one rocker panel which were both cut out and replaced w NOS steel. (No bondo). A lot of time and TLC has been spent on this project, an unreal amount actually which would be embarrassing to state.
We took the top and all body panels off and started fresh. The new blue paint matches the original color of the Scout. 345 V8 w 727 auto transmission New parts: All weather stripping, every piece on the truck. Door felt (whiskers) and doer seals

There is quite a bit more I sm forgetting. Bottom line: The truck drives straight and true, no weird vibrations or pulling. Brakes are excellent, power brakes and steering. 4wd works perfectly. Every gauge works, the AM radio works perfectly. Firewall is tight, exhaust is tight. You don't get out of the truck smelling like exhaust. This is a great example or a 9/10 restoration you can drive safely and be proud of. She's not perfect, there are imperfections on the paint. This isn't a $35k show truck. There isn't anything left to do at this point that I am aware of. All the bugs have been worked out, just drive and enjoy.
Full coverage insurance costs me $200 per year.
I do have a title from 1989. Any other questions feel free to ask. If you want to see the truck we can work something out I am sure. I have well over 20k in the total project. No reserve!
