So here's my 1979 International Scout II. I have owned this vehicle a little over 2 years and love it to death however several things have happened: 1) I have been traveling up to 2 weeks a month for work 2) I no longer have a covered parking spot for it and don't like her sitting outside for long periods of time without being driven Therefore I would rather someone buy her and drive her.
The Truck has 73, 453 miles as of posting(I drive this truck as much as possible). It is the base model with the 304 V8 and an Automatic. No power windows no A/C its a Scout if you want any of those things go buy a Kia Sorrento and have fun at Bed Bath and Beyond. This truck has the ability to make you better looking to all sexes(results not guaranteed)
I personally spent $1, 681.20 (I've got the receipts) on a new Fuel System ( New lines Fuel Pump and Carb) plus a tune up. Almost new 31 good years- still have knobbies on the side walls 4 Brand new Rancho Shocks on all corners Kenwood Marine Head Unit and Marine Amp and 4 Focal Speakers- Sounds Awesome! (Again you will attract attention and its usually good attention) If you're a Scout Purist you'll love that it appears to have all the original decals under the hood and in the glove box... and here's the kicker the Line Set Ticket is still on the Glove Box Door!!!! (OMG I Know!) Included original manuals, and a bunch of receipts Because I want to be as honest as possible the paint needs attention eventually- It's nice and shiny but there are a some rust bubbles in the typical Scout spots (Tail Lights) Honestly If I had a place to keep her I would but this is the last vehicle I have left and I am closing up the Dealership and Focusing on my other Businesses which as I said make me spend a lot of time out of town. She's awesome and by default if you buy this truck you will be awesome too(Again results not guaranteed) Makes a great Beach Cruiser, Weekend Cruiser and if you don't live in Miami like I do a awesome cruiser year round if it's not 10000% Humidity. I am a dealer therefore if you buy in the State of Florida I have to charge you sales tax, otherwise you are responsible.
Any questions let me know, I'll be more than glad to answer anything related to the Scout. There is a reserve and I'll just say this the guy I bought it from paid $12, 500... so think about that for a bit. Oh and the truck is for sale Locally and I have the right to cancel the auction whenever I want.
Also please note and this is very very very very very very important... You're bidding on a vehicle that is almost 40 years old. If you're not serious don't do it and save yourself $500 which you will not get back if you flake. If you want to come see it I am in Miami, Fl and will openly welcome you to view it, we can take it for a ride no problem with that.. But don't try to flake because the deposit is NON REFUNDABLE!!!!!! The truck is not a trailer queen but isn't a wreck either, it's an awesome ride and if you want a $25, 000 Scout buy this one have it disassembled and repainted and you're pretty much there.
