I have an international Scout II for sale. The motor runs. The brakes are ok. With that said, I would NOT drive this home. This needs to be trailer-ed home. This is a project vehicle. I by no means want to imply that it is not. The frame is solid. The hood is in great shape. There is still usable panels, but a lot has to be replaced. The motor actually runs great. I would probably rebuild the carb or atleast clean it out. I bought this as a project truck, but really don't have time for it. I want this to go to a good home where she can be restored to the condition that she deserves. Most importantly I have a clear title for it.
I just took it for a joy ride. This Scout still has a lot of power under the hood. The trucks goes into gear. Transmission is good and so is the transfer case. All gears are working properly. Brakes are in good working order. It stopped as it should. Truck is a lot of fun to drive!
