This truck was built in Los Angeles , CA and shipped to the IHC dealer in Modesto, CA. I have the orig line set ticket for it. Was ordered with Chrome front bumper, HD shocks, rear sway bar, 4 wd, 3/4 ton 200 series. Disc brakes, Tilt wheel, air conditioning, dual exhaust, electric clock, 7700 GVWR package, cailf emissions, 205 NP transfer case, 3.73 gears, locking differential, tinted glass, sliding rear window, custom interior package, custom exterior package, camper special package. Lots of special ordered factory options. .... About 7 years ago it went thru a full restoration. A GM Engine and transmission were installed at that time. A BRAND NEW 350 HO deluxe crate engine was bought for the transplant. This engine comes with a 4 bolt main block, Vortec cyl heads, 1.94 intake valves, aluminum dual plane intake, Holly 600 cfm carb w/ electric choke, Serpintine belt system, Also added on the install was a brand new GM air conditioning compressor, new GM alternator, power steering pump, and Hi-torque starter. It was all installed at a highly professional level. A fully rebuilt GM turbo 350 transmission with HD internals and shift kit were also built and installed in the truck. All drive shafts, axle joints, etc... were also gone thru during the build. A brand new aluminum radiator was also installed. Along with headers and a full Dual exhaust system with turbo mufflers. New steering box, custom wheels, and Goodyear wrangler tires. A Custom built fuel tank was also built and installed under the rear of the bed. The a/c system is all hooked up except for the electrical plug. You could imagine how expensive that drivetrain transplant and restoration was. .. .. over $ 10, 000.00 in parts alone, not including any of the labor. .. . After that, the truck was sent to the paint shop were it had a complete respray on its super solid body. If you look at the pic of the floors. You can see how solid it is . It has never been patched up. Has some factory undercoating. The bed and interior floor were sprayed with a bedliner material at a professional shop. The inside of the bed and tailgate are like new and free of dents or damage. It has a NOS IHC rear bumper that's perfect. A very nice deluxe aluminum trim panel on the tailgate. Grille is nice with no damage , just a few scratches. The gas gauge is currently not working. It does have a sending unit in the new custom tank, so needs to have the ground checked. The seat is nice. The dash pad was sent out and custom wrapped with a black tweed fabric. ( looks great) Has a new custom steering wheel that looks great on the tilt wheel column. The sliding window is a original IHC factory piece. Headliner is new. Everything on this truck looks nice and is sharp. The decals are vinyl and can be removed if requested. The frame and underneath on this truck is remarkable. The life it spent in California were good to it and it shows. International trucks were sold new as workhorses. So many of them you see are rusted out and beat up. They are so hard to find in this condition. Just finding a donor truck to build one like this would be a challenge. And in todays money it would cost $ 25, 000.00 to duplicate it. Drives down the road very nice. Great power from the 340 hp motor. Exhaust sounds great when you get on it. I bought this truck from my friend whos dad had it built. He is 80 years old and built it as a retirement project. Spent well over $ 20, 000.00 having it done. It was his dream. ....I put a full walk around video of the truck on you tube... Check it out under 1974 International 4x4
