1978 International Scout II. This Scout started life in 1978 as a 2 wheel drive 4 cylinder truck. Now it sits in 2015 still with a solid body perfect for a body restoration. A Dana 44 has been added to the front to complement the rear and make it a 4 wheel drive with 4.09 gear ratio. The perches were cut from the axles and welded on top so they mounted under the springs instead of over, giving the truck a good 10 inches of lift. Added 5° to the perches to adjust the driveline angles so the 4x4 wouldnt bind. Then with all that room a set of 33x13.5x15 TSL Swampers in American Racing Baja wheeld were put on to fill up that space. The 4 cylinder was removed and an engine with both halves was put it. A V8 392ci International engine with a 650 CFM carburetor sits atop this beast. Getting a tune up with new plugs, points with timing and carb being adjusted accordingly. Headers and dual exhaust complete exhaust side of this old girl. Bolted to the back of this monster is a T18 transmission with a 6 puck ceramic clutch thats used in the S line semi trucks of the same vintage. This is a truck that the top will come off and literally take you anywhere that you want to go, and even some places you probably shouldn't go!
