Description:

1980 International Scout II Turbo Diesel
SD-33T 6 cyl Nissan Turbo Diesel (close ratio 4 spd, 300 Transfercase, 44 axles front and rear 3.54 gears with factory locking diff, a/c converted to 134a, tilt wheel, buckets with console, stock polycast rims and spare, factory am/fm radio (works) dealery installed racor fuel filter and digital clock, fairly bone stock except washable air filter, strait exhaust, lockout hubs, all terrain tires (Scout was parked on pavement at an airport for years and had a lot of surface rust) older restoration (early 2000's) 69 K miles, only 15 K miles since done all body work replaced with the highest quality sheet metal available thicker than stock from A.T. Scouts, (fenders, doorskins , quarters, floors, mounts cut at factory welds and re-seam sealed, por 15, rhino lined and undercoated) nicely done and presentable, paint is a 7 out of 10 in my opinion.
List of things done in the last 5 years (parked in storage for 2-3- years): complete 4 wheel (brakes, bearings, calipers, rotors, drums, seals, remanufactured alternator, rebuilt turbo, belts, silicone, hoses, filters, exhaust, all fluids flushed, drive shaft u-joints, set timing, calibrated fuel pump, rebuilt injectors, valves adjusted, glow plugs and brand new commercial 1000 CCA battery.
I've owned and maintained Diesel Scouts for 30 years, have gone through every inch of this one and replaced or upgraded everything that needed to be done to make this a reliable and dependable daily driver. Would not hesitate to drive this anytime or distance, especially since she is set up to get an estimate of 25 mpg (@65 mph), sorry no 33gal tank just 19, drives down the road straight and true (no typical scout wander, but would add a steer straight anyway), a very tight, no rattles truck.
Things I didn't get a chance to do in my opinion, adjust doors (takes two people to get perfect) re undercoat if you're going to drive year round, buff out paint, reinstall roof rack (took off to buff roof, didn't get to it), install gauges (pyro, boost, tach). Hydroboost plus high amp GM alternator, 33 gallon tank, install front and rear sway bars, gas shocks. Could easily be set up to run on WVO. I'm sure there are probably things I forgot to list.
Not a 25 K frame off show Scout, but a nice and affordable driver that is turn key and go. Average price for a restored Scout in 2014 is 22 to 25 K, a survivor is 18 K to 23 K. Sold as is, where is no warranty implied or expressed.
