Description:

1970 INTERNATIONAL 1200 4X4
I bought this truck in southern California only to bring it back to be a reliable, strong, unique and a head turner.Power by a rebuilt 304 ( not only re ring ) about 600 miles a go.T-19 Borg-Warner 4 speed with synchronized 1st low gear, removed, open for inspection, install new seals, front and rear bearings and races.in front of a NP-202 divorced transfer case (shafts 1/4 bigger in diameter and gears about 3/8 thicker ) open for inspection, install new seals and support mounts. IH used this in 1--1 1/2--2 ton truck. Dana 60 rear, Dana 44 front with 410 gear ratios, also open for inspection and install new seals. Driveshafts (3), replaced u joints as needed and balanced. Clutch in good working condition. Brakes good all around. Emergency brake good working condition. Tires BFGoodrich Long Trail T/A 235/75R16- 80% tread. Steering, inspected and replaced parts as needed, aligned and balanced. Dash, removed all components and wiring for inspection and replace as needed, all new dash light bulbs. Oil pressure, temperature, amps, fuel and high beam gauges in good working condition. Wipers working, New radio with usb and iPod port (not expensive but it sure looks good ), two boxed speakers behind seat. Under hood and rest of electrical wiring ( front to rear ) also inspected and replaced as needed, headlamps, turn, brake, parking and reverse lights all working. Radiator rod cleaned. Heater core and hoses replaced. New mufflers from manifold to rear.
Paint, stripped body, underbody and frame, removed bed and front ( not the cab ) Underbody Browning color is the match for original ( or very close ) Rust was not an issue other than minimum surface rust. New door to body seals, window channels and window guide seals. Rechromed front bumper, grill and door handles. Polished stainless cab molding, wipers, buttons in dash.
Upholstery, combo of cloth and vinyl at seat, headliner, door panels, dash pad, kick panels and dash panel. New carpet, transfer case shifter boot, brake and clutch rubber pedals.
No power steering, no power brakes.
All of the work done in about a year with no pressure to get it done fast, priority was to get it right.1st mechanical 2nd electrical 3rd paint 4th upholstery.Work was performed by professional technicians with no less than 10 years each on their trade, some of them retired like me.Most of them if not all are good people that I created a friendship with, so labor charges where very flexible, and savings are pass to you.Never intended to keep truck for my self, reason I'm selling it is to start my next project ( 1973 international 200 ).Something I enjoy doing and to keep my few neurons left going, not really for a profit. This investment is for sure going north with the way the market is nowadays.I'm sure I did not list all done to truck, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. ( pics taken first week of july/15 )I was not happy with the right fuel tank gauge reading ( full was ok but when reading 1/4 actual gas in tank was 1/2 ) so I order two new fuel sending units one for right tank and one for left tank, to be installed wed 7/8/15.In my name, register till may 2015 and insured. And yes, I feel very confident that you can drive it cross country just remember gas prices where not an issue in early 70sOf course any questions I'll be glad to answer.
Thanks...Carlos.
