Great 1973 International Harvester Crew Cab
NOTE:
This cab is beautiful inside and will not disappoint, if you want more interior pictures please ask and I will send them ASAP. I might even open up a Picassa account and put a link to a hundred additional pics for you to help decide! If you don't ask for that special picture then you will never know what great shape this is in. I will have removed all of the paint tape and done the touch up work on the interior floors before the auction ends! They are solid with no cancer and have just been sanded smooth to give the paint something to grab onto. This great running truck will only increase in value and run better with the electronic distributor installed. I am also including an IH power steering pump from a 1975 1- ton with brackets that might get you thinking about doing an upgrade.
I will let these pictures speak for themselves, this truck fires up first time every time and does not smoke. This started out life as a railroad truck and I am the third owner with the last owner having it since 1982. Rebuilt carb, new wires, new plugs, and a good cleaning made this truck a true gem driving down the street. Naturally geared low and slow this is a true farm truck for the corn binder connoisseur. Multiple size trailer balls and a 7 pin connector will get your stuff going down road in no time. There is a 110 volt female plug coming out the back bumper but I cannot guarantee how well it works. The tires are good for now and I replaced the rims from the original split-rim design with good 8-lug wheels. The interior is clean I sanded off some surface rust from floor mat condensation treated the floor with POR15 and repainted with the factory yellow paint. It runs down the road great and I have been driving it at 65mph on the freeway for the last few days. I have an electronic distributor from a 77 scout I should have installed before the auction ends but it is running great as is. The bed shows use and could use a repaint, who knows it might get one before the auction ends but no guarantees. I have the paint code and will pass it along from when I repainted the floors. Interior seats are awesome with a hole in each one that probably is repairable.
This is a good stout truck and is solid material for a Cummins repower if that's your thing, If you need more pictures please let me know and I will email them to you. This is a good running 392 and I will try to make some YOUTUBE of cold starts and engine idling but I need to first figure out how to do that. CHECK BACK OFTEN and I will comtinue adding photos and/or videos. Please don't email me for shipping quotes, figure that out for yourself because I assume your an adult. I will load this onto the carrier of your choice and can assist with that kind of stuff. I would drive this home and not have any worries but a plane ticket and gas might be more expensive than a car hauler. Truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time for a cash buyer.
