Description:

This is a really cool truck that I have had a few years now. It was sitting before I bought it for almost ten years(2006 last registered) but I got it running and had the transmission rebuilt(leaks), both last year in the fall. The transmission shop blames the leak on me because the truck did not have brakes then so the shop didn't drive it and they belive that it never heated up well enough to seal all the gaskets. I also had the brakes gone through and whatever needed it was replaced. The truck was built on an 84' chevy longbed so parts are easy to find. It also has a Chevy 305 and automatic transmission in it. It is titled as a 46' International so it still retains the classicness of an old truck and not a newer one but has the reliability and parts locating ability. The front has been lowered with cut springs and the rear with homemade shackles(t posts). Has bucket seats, new steering wheel and aftermarket gauges. Also has new plugs, wires, distributor cap and an Ahooga horn(not working yesterday). The tires need replaced and only hold air for an hour or so(well enough to put on trailer), but dry rotted from sitting in the Texas sun. The exhaust is shotgunned out behind the passenger door and is loud. All the diamond place was cut by hand and is a really cool touch that I have never seen before. The truck was last driven two months ago and I can email videos, just send me a message with your address. It ran, brakes were a little mushy and didn't seem to shift well but my boys and I drove it probably five miles. It has sat since then because my work as a Texas State Trooper has kept me busy lately with border deployments. A few weeks ago I removed the black paint down to almost what was underneath. I have a lot of time in this truck but my teenager decided he wants to build something of his own so this must go immediately which is why the auction is so short and the price is low. I have listed it elsewhere for twice as much but need it gone now. The brown complete truck pic was how I bought it and then shortly painted it hotrod black before stripping it. The chevy it was put on was a long bed so the previous owner stretched the bed and then welded the fenders back on so when I removed them I had to grind the welds down and di the best I could with limited tools of my own. With that said, there are obvious grind marks but most is covered by the diamond plate. The diamond plate was cut free hand so of course it is not perfect. Since I just stripped the paint off a few weeks ago it has not had a chance to rust yet so some bare metal is showing. The bed has holes in it and I just had it covered with plywood. There are no other body parts included, the hood and fenders were scrapped. This is a project and no warranty is expressed or implied or offered. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs or pick up. This week I did charge the battery and after the fuel pump was primed, it started but ran a little rough. Please ask any questions you have before bidding and I will be as honest as I can. The vehicle is being sold locally as well so I reserve the right to end the auction early if needed. Thanks for looking and God Bless!
