1963 International Harvester MetroLite Walk-In Day Cab
This is a very unique, 60's IH delivery truck. Part of the MetroLite series, this aluminum body truck is built on the same platform as the more familiar Metro delivery vans. Most of these daycab or walk-in cab trucks were fitted with delivery boxes or other special built truck bodies.
This truck still has the original 6 cylinder motor (condition unknown) and manual transmission. The radiator and carb are missing.
As you can see, the grill and instrument panel are also missing. These are interchangeable with any of the MetroLite vans. I have some of the missing headlight parts.
The body of the truck is straight and in good condition.
I was told that it last had a flatbed on the back that has since been removed but the factory rear bumper is still on the truck and in great condition.
The truck rolls and steers free
This is a great start to a restoration project or a custom, hauler or rat rod truck. Surely different from all the cookie cutter projects you see today.
This truck is being sold with a bill of sale only
Truck is located in Hope, Idaho 83836. Buyer is responsible for picking up and shipping the truck. I can assist in loading.
Truck can be stored on site for up to 4 weeks to arrange shipping. Winning bidder agrees to pay $100 per month storage fee after the first 30 days.
