This is a 1961 International Scout 4X4. If you know Scouts...they are a great 4 X 4. These little gems are getting harder to find. This one is a barn find!
It has been sitting for many years so it is out of the system. Title has been lost for years. We have a name and address, but the owner moved many years ago and can no longer be reached. So this can be used for a parts vehicle or when completely restored, have a new title issued. Last registration on Black and Yellow California plate is 1990. No paperwork. Bill of Sale can be issued...
This vehicle does NOT run. We did NOT even try to turn it over...it has been sitting too long...don't want to mess up engine without doing a prior soaking and going through first.
Transmission (in the back) was taken out because 2nd gear wasn't working. It was rebuilt and then they never re-installed it. It all seems to be there, Transmission Transfer CaseTransmission Center CoverTransmission Skid Plate
A set of windows for the vehicle are also in the back...All windows except windshieldFrames for some as wellTail Gate is in good shapeFloors boards inside are just surface rust..surprisingly good! Including under the seatBench seat (needs reupholstering) was red in color.Rolls easily and steers easilyBottoms of doors and rockers do have rust.Rear fender quarters where there is usually rust...didn't (go figure)Top (White) is rustyGas tank area does have some rust, but not as much as normal...Body seems pretty smooth, no major dents or dings. Paint has some surface rust End caps do have rust on the bottom side.
This is a salvage vehicle and is being sold for parts only. It is not operational or street legal. Therefore, upon purchase, it will need to be either towed or put on a trailer. This item is NOT eligible for the eBay Motors Vehicle Purchase Protection Program.
