This Scout II is a beast. It is a daily driver now, but has many issues.
Recently replaced: Starter, Fuel Pump, Fuel Lines, Carburetor, Full Tune up (cap, rotor, plugs, wires, coil).
The Good: running, driving, stopping. bucket seats, roll bar, full rear spare tire holder with Jerry gas can, air conditioning (not working), cruise (not working). floor reinforced with heavy duty aluminum, and full steel supports. floor covering is 3/4 inch thick hardened rubber mat. 4 wheel drive works. Frame is excellent. DANA 60 front end. Original hubcaps and rims.
The Bad: rusty, and rusty, and loud, and drives like a truck. . A-pillars are rusted, rockers are rusted, hood has rust, fenders are rusted. floor gone, but replaced. needs exhaust, and has a leak at the manifold. removable top functions, but has rust at the passenger support. some minor electrical issues.
Fun as all heck to drive. I've owned it for 4 years and have driven through the woods, over the hill, and even to Grandmothers house. It is a beast, and strong as an ox and will pull tow, and go anywhere you ask it to.
