For Sale is a near mint 2004 Isuzu Axiom XS with 100, xxx miles. The 2004 model was the last year of production and included the 250HP direct injection 3.5L motor and the strong Aisin transmission. If you are new to Isuzus or shopping for your first Axiom, you'll want to stay clear of earlier year models like the 2002 or 2003's as these had less horsepower, bad gas mileage and a very weak transmission. The 2004 Axiom was the last and most desirable model and this particular vehicle is fully loaded with all available options.
The truck runs on regular 87octane gas without knock or ping thanks in part to the direct injection. Actual gas mileage observed for this Axiom is 16.5city / 22 highway. The truck is in very nice shape and has I believe all available options. I bought the truck in 2009 as second owner and it's required very little maintenance and it has been problem free. I've maintained all the consumables like brakes, battery, fluids, tires etc, but everything else is original. The engine, transmission, paint etc are all original. There has never been any accidents and the truck is rust free, odometer is true and I have the title in my hand. The A/C has always blown cold and has never required a charge. Last time changing the oil I could not find any leaks underneath anywhere. The headlights are just beginning to show age, but appears to be fixable with a headlight restoring kit as the oxidation is on the outside.
The electronic shocks work perfectly and I've recently added AirLift bags inside the rear springs for towing. The ride is quiet, firm like a well prepared 4X4 truck but also feels like a comfortable car inside. Always non-smoker. Ash tray only saw coins.
Included are (2) sets of Isuzu floormats. One carpet style and one rubber style, both from the Isuzu dealer. There is also an extra factory Isuzu 16 chrome wheel (was going to use it for spare) that has never had a tire installed on it. It is brand new and in MINT condition. An XM radio has always been installed and once activated gets plenty of music/talk radio. There is a factory 6 disc CD changer in the center console which is really cool.
Of course there are blemishes that can be found on a 100k mile vehicle but nothing to suggest abuse, neglect or carelessness while owning this vehicle. Please ask for more pictures or view the vehicle in person if this is your primary concern.
If you are an Isuzu fan and are looking for a nice Axiom that has been taken care of this is a rare chance. Most Axioms for sale these days are the undesirable earlier year models or high mileage deadbeats. This Axiom is offered at below blue book and is in superb, unmolested condition.
