We're selling our 1998 Isuzu Trooper 4 x 4. I attached a set of pictures from last year when the truck was detailed/cleaned. This is a 17 year old vehicle and I've listed what I know about it. It continues to be an occasional driver and has not been recently through a car wash.
We acquired this from family in November of 2011 with the knowledge that some work was initially needed to make it drivable. Within the first few months we had the transmission lines replaced, lower intake manifold gasket replaced, passenger's side view mirror replaced with an OEM assembly, and the windshield replaced. We used this as an occasional driver for 3 years resolving issues along the way including the following.
Driver's side window motor replace around 2009
Gas cap replaced
Repair to rear window defrost lines (they all work now)
Replaced all 4 shocks
Replaced all 4 tires
Replaced the air filter
Replaced the belt tensioner
Wheel alignment done
Purge valve in the emissions control system replaced
Had rear windows tinted to block sun during the day and headlight glare at night
Added window vent visors
Spark plugs replaced
Valve cover gasket set replaced
New wheel sensor installed to clear an ABS light
New cat back exhaust system installed
New Serpentine belt installed
Battery replaced in September of 2013
Vacuum control module for the 4 wheel drive replaced to correct the 4 wheel drive not engaging
Had Meinekie replace the center cross-over section and flex pipe of the exhaust system
Recent rubber floor mats for front seat
Windshield wipers are a few months old
Just recently installed a set of PIAA fog lights that I had
Had new brake calipers installed with new pads on the front
Outer tie rod end replaced
Negative Battery cable terminal replaced
This was a daily driver going up to about 20 miles per day of mixed highway and local driving during the winter/spring months this passed season. I've been consistently watching the mpg and it's right around 12-14. The odometer currently reads about 244, 000 miles. This vehicle comes with one original key and 2 spares (no key-less remote). The spare tire on the back is in new condition and holds air at the proper PSI the last time I checked.
Please make note that the A/C Compressor clutch is bad/worn and will not engage the Compressor correctly - so the A/C does not work. Also to note, the 'D' on the dash board does not illuminate when the transmission is put into drive. All other indicator lights work. The hood latch doesn't 'pop open' when pulled but works. The carpet has a wear spot under the front driver's side floor mat. The seat has a small hole as pictured.
This vehicle is clean for 17 years old and has been maintained over the years. I change the oil 3 times per 10K miles which is just over 3K miles each time. The NJ inspection sticker is current (good until November of 2016). Blue book / Nada values this vehicle around 2K to 2.4K. We have over 5K in repair receipts with all major work being performed at our local STS. Please don't e-mail offers. It should go without saying but this vehicle is being sold 'as is'.
