The Jag underwent a full ground up, rotisserie, nut & bolt restoration which took over 9 years. I disassembled everything, cleaned, glass beaded, painted everything; installed all new parts on the sub-components. Please note: the photos were taken before I had a chance to really detail the engine compartment!
Every part on this car received excruciating attention to detail. For example: the regulator flap inside the heater box was rusted and had a hole in it. I disassembled the heater box, had the heater core re-cored, welded up the hole in the heater flap, ground down the welds, applied epoxy primer, block sanded the flap & painted it to a mirror finish with Glasuit urethane enamel paint. All for a part no one can see!
I wanted everything to be as true to original as possible, but to utilize better quality materials that are available today.
I used as many NOS parts as possible unless there was a better option available.
