1972 Jaguar E-type
Series 3 2+2 5.3L V12
This outstanding 1972 Jaguar E-type comes
to us from California (dry climate, no rust). The paint is British Racing Green and it is in great shape. The body is in
great condition with nice body lines. All the chrome is in great condition as
are the front and rear bumpers. The car has the original green leather interior
and it is in very nice condition with no visible tears or rips. The dash is in great
condition as well and has no cracks. The motor, original to the car, it the
largest and most desirable offered in the E-type, the 5.3 liter V12 originally
developed for the Le Mans series and producing 272hp from the
factory. This amazing E-type comes with a factory automatic transmission that
was recently renovated and has less than 100 miles on it. The transmission
shifts smoothly, with no problems or issue and the car drives amazingly in
every way. Wheels are original to the car and represent them self very
well. This E-type goes down the road very nicely and straight and is a joy to
drive. Jaguar E-types in original conditions are so very rare
and sought after today and this one you could drive everyday!
Jaguar E-type Model History & Honors
The Jaguar E-Type is a British sports car, which was
manufactured by Jaguar Cars Ltd between 1961 and 1975. Its combination
of beauty, high performance, and competitive pricing established the car as an
icon of 1960s motoring. At a time when most cars had drum brakes, live rear
axles, and mediocre performance, the Jaguar E-type sprang on the scene with
150 mph and a sub-7 second 0-60 time, monocoque construction, disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, and unrivaled looks.
On its release
Enzo Ferrari called it The most beautiful car ever made
In March 2008, the Jaguar
E-Type ranked first in a The Daily Telegraph online
list of the world's 100 most beautiful cars of all time.
In 2004, Sport Car
International magazine placed
the E-Type at number one on their list of Top Sports Cars of the 1060s.
