Jaguar E-Type Roadster (1973)
for sale
Price: US $5,000.00
Price: US $5,000.00
This fine example of this British classic is offered for sale after the last 20 or so years with the same owner.
I have owned, driven, bought and sold, a number of E-Types throughout the The years and this is a beautiful example of the Series III Roadster. I am a diehard Jag guy and most pleased to offer this fine example for sale.
Offered in simply the best and most popular color combination, this car will present the highest resale value.
This car has been owned by the owner of a national restaurant franchise, and this car has been on air-conditioned display, on a lift, in one of his restaurants for the last 15 years. When put on display, the car was properly prepared for storage with fluids drained, etc. Essentially, this fabulous E-Type has been in hibernation for over 15 years, in air-conditioning, with no sun other other elements taking their toll.
What a rare find, indeed!
The car was just recently sent to Paul Ireson of Ireson Motorsports near Gatlinburg, Tennessee, where the car is today. Paul is well known in the car world. Originally hailing from England, Paul has owned and restored many Concours E-Types and Jaguars, and knows these cars inside and out. Paul is also known for his custom car work, having won hundreds of awards, including the George Baris award at the Detroit Auto Show. Also, Paul and his team were seen recently winning the day on the television show Car Warriors.
Paul went though this V-12 top to bottom, to prepare it for sale. The work he did to this totally rust-free example includes:
New water pump
New water header tank
New distributor cap
New oil pressure sender unit
New electric fan thermo switch
New fuel filter and fueled filter
Overhauled all 4 carburetors and cleaned fueled tank and lines
Flushed radiator
Oil and filter
The strong V-12 runs out smoothly, revs smooth and strong and maintains great oil pressure.
All gauges, switches and lights work properly. Please see the attached videos, prepared by Paul, showing the operation and driving of the car.
This is stunning surviving example of this classic. It is all original, showing very little wear from its 61, 000 miles.
The paint and body are excellent, no scratches or dings. The interior, hood and boot are also in great shape.
The car includes original books and original spare keys!
Overall this is a beautiful red roadster ready to drive and enjoy!
Best of Luck! Happy Bidding!
