For those who know Jaguars, they know the 1962 Mark II 3.8L was the fastest of the Mark II's and most drive-able today. This was a much loved car in it's heyday. It had 18% more in cabin glass area over the Mark I which greatly improving vision. The car was re-engineered above the waistline, slender front pillars allowed a wider windscreen and the rear window almost wrapped around to the enlarged side windows now with the familiar Jaguar D-shape above the back door and fully chromed frames for all the side windows. The radiator grille was amended and larger side, tail and fog lamps repositioned. Inside a new heating system was fitted and ducted to the rear compartment. There was an improved instrument layout that became standard for all Jaguar cars.
Today at auction with little restoration these cars average $37, 000 in auction and top off at +$100k for impeccable restorations. This vehicle is priced to sell and will require little investment to yield big profits or a cherished collectible.
