PERFORMANCE: The Eaton-supercharged 400hp 4.2l V8 runs great (no knocks, ticks or smoke), and the ZF 6-speed automatic trans shifts perfectly. There's actually a button that the driver can push that changes how the car shifts. So if you don't want to chance spilling your coffee, let it shift normally. But if you want to maximize your acceleration, push the button and the car will shift at the redline. It's very impressive. Oh, one can turn off the traction control as well, for even more fun. 18 Zeus (factory) alloy wheels, plenty of tread left on the ZR-rated Dunlop Fuzion tires. Dual-piston Brembos on all four corners, pads replaced about 10k miles ago. The stopping power of this car is almost as impressive as it's acceleration. This STR handles like a go-kart, is both quick and fast, and stops on a dime. LUXURY: I believe this car was ordered with every option available. It has the sunroof, GPS navigation, killer Alpine sound system w/sub woofer, rain sensor wipers, heated leather front memory seats, dual climate control, and backup sensors. It is a dream to drive, with sumptuous appointments typical of a Jaguar, from the genuine hardwood trim to the steering wheel audio controls. THE BAD: A) There is a significant crack in the windshield (I haven't fixed it because it's not in my field of vision). B) There are 2 small imperfections in the body: 1) the passenger door was opened too far and slightly bent the sheet metal, and 2) a small amount of paint scraped off the passenger side rear bumper. Neither is overly noticeable, and the car still presents well, even with 130, 000 miles on it. C) The interior is a bit worn, with the driver's seat showing the most wear. The carpet has cigarette burns, and is well-worn. - I show both in the pics. D) The engine light is on, and it shows as an O2 sensor fault. E) All four wheels have a bit of curb rash. No big deal, but in the interest of full disclosure, I'm mentioning it. F) A small leak at the top radiator hose. I've been adding coolant every few days for the last 6 months of driving it daily. I showed it in a pic - it looks like the thing the hose attaches to is leaking. It leaks badly (like in the pic) when it's filled, then it slows way down. It may need a new radiator, I don't know. Considering that the car sold for around $70, 000 new, I'd say my reserve is ridiculously low. I've enjoyed this car immensely, but my family has grown and it's time to part ways - the Jag seats 5 comfortably, but not 6. I've tried to be as honest as possible about both the good and the bad, but I am a private seller, and as such, the car has no warranty and is being sold AS-IS. If you've ever wanted to own a world-class 400hp luxury sedan, here's your chance. I'm also sure the final selling price will be less than what the supercharged V8 (or the ZF 6-speed) sells for alone, but I'm too busy to part out the car.
