Air conditioning vents are completely flush with the dashboard until the ignition is switched on, when they rotate to an open position, overhead console lamps operate through a special touch- or proximity-sensing system, and the interior is bathed in cool blue lighting at night. There are various storage compartments inside, and front cup holders are large enough for a 44-ounce beverage cup.The available top-of-the-range, 440-watt Bowers & Wilkins Premium Sound System has been specifically designed for the XF's cabin; it has surround sound processing, 14 speakers, a remote amplifier, and Kevlar speaker cones. The XF's audio systems are fully compatible with portable audio players or USB memory sticks.An extensive list of electronic driving aids is offered on the XF, including anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution and cornering brake control.
