This listing is for a 2000 XJ8 Jaguar I have owned for approximately 10 years. It is extremely low mileage and needs to be driven. I have probably not driven the car 100 miles myself, but health reasons force me to sell my inventory. I have spent a great amount of time and money identifying and fixing a surging problem that developed in this XJ. This vehicle is currently not registered and still has synthetic break-in oil, after interference repairs were made by a local import specialist shop. The engine is running rich in two cylinders and the mechanic says the car needs to be driven for the problem to resolve itself. I don’t have the time to devote to “debugging” and “tweaking” the car after it has been through several mechanics prior to resolving the mechanical issue. The car is available for inspection at any time and I will answer any questions. The tires are in good shape and look new. Very little tread wear. The car has normal wear and tear for the mileage and age. All exterior blemishes were caused my different dealerships and mechanics where work was performed. Most shops left the car outside, exposed to the elements. If I were keeping it, I would probably have a good detail shop refurbish the exterior. I failed to include a picture, but the headliner began to become loose and I installed upholstery tacks. No one has ever even noticed them. I have no idea why the dress valve covers were not reinstalled at the Albuquerque, NM Jaguar dealership. When the car was returned, they were in the trunk. This was probably an oversight, but just an example of things to “tweak”. The car is being sold “as is”. I really haven’t spent much time in this XJ, but I will be happy to provide the contact information for the last two shops that performed mechanic work. Actually, the mechanic at Jag in Albuquerque committed to purchase the car, but his wife cancelled the deal at the last minute. I will consider any reasonable offer.
