The 2004 Jaguar XJ8 is spacious, comfortable, sleek, fast, and quiet. The car color is a classic British Racing Green with Beige Leather interior. There is not a more pleasing color combination available.
The car is powered by a 4.2-liter twin cam V8 rated at 294 horsepower. Fuel economy is excellent for a car this size (EPA 18 City/28 Highway). Noteworthy refinements include an air suspension, self-adjusting height to improve aerodynamics and handling at highway speed, and a very spacious trunk.
The paint is in overall excellent condition. There are the expected small stone chips in the front of the hood and minor blemishes on the sides. The rear bumper has a small crack, a slight paint scrape on the left hand side, and various imperfections from urban parking. There is a small dimple in the left rear door.
I am the third owner and have have meticulously performed all recommended maintenance (oil, brake fluid, and coolant changes). The tire have been rotated with every oil change. I have also replaced the headliner. Work done since my purchase includes:
1) New tires in 2013
2) New battery in 2014
3) New alternator in 2015
4) New suspension air compressor in 2015
5) New fuel pump in 2016
6) New front air suspension in 2016
7) New radiator hose and coolant in 2017
The vehicle was driven less than 7, 000 miles since I purchased it. This vehicle is only used for special occasions and fun trips and is garaged and has a custom made cover to protect it while it is not in use.
You can find a cheaper 2004 XJ8 with similar mileage but chances are that you may have to spend more than $5, 000 to bring it to the condition of this vehicle. Everything works and it is in great mechanical shape. In addition to the work shown above, the water pump was replaced just prior my purchase of the vehicle. All maintenance records are available (through Carfax for the previous owners). Two keys and manual are included.
