It’s time to sell our summertime lake cruiser. We've owned the car since 2011. The XJ8 is considered by many to be the best looking car Jaguar ever built. Owned by ford at the time, the XJ8 has both classic British luxury and reliability. The interior is gorgeous! Walnut inserts were cut from the same tree so they match. The walnut is set off by a black leather interior. The anthracite exterior sparkles in the sun.
This is the best handling car I've ever owned. It has lots of power, rides very well and hugs the curves. It gets 22-24 mpg.
The leather seats and interior trim are in very good condition. The exterior is overall stunning, but there are a few minor dings. The rear part of the headliner is sagging, there are 1 squares of rust bubbling under the paint behind each rear wheel. A 1/2 bit of chrome is missing from the grill.
About the salvage title: Insurance had totaled the car in 2010 after a 2 dent on left (drivers) side nose. At that time, Ford had let Jaguar go and the company had not yet reorganized. the drivers side headlight and headlight cover have been replaced. $250 in parts fixed it. I have the receipts we turned in for the new title.
