Description:

I am letting go of my 1998 supercharged Jaguar XJR. British racing green with light beige (called oatmeal) interior. I have recently fixed and updated the car both mechanically and cosmetically. Everything works. No accidents. CA registration is paid until 2/2016. I am the 3rd owner but if you count the PA dealer I purchased the car from who briefly had a title, then 4th. The car spent all its life in Southern CA except when it was for sale in PA.
The car runs quiet and smooth at idle and accelerates very fast. The super-charged XJRs of this era go from 0 to 60 in 5.1 seconds according to the manufacturer's specs.
Mechanicals:
The following has been performed at 83, 800 & 86, 800 miles by an independent Jaguar shop in Culver City, CA costing $3700. Receipts are available.
- Upper timing chain tensioners, notorious for failing and resulting in engine rebuild, have been replaced.
- Fuel pumps (dual) were making noise and have been replaced.
- Squealing serpentine belt was replaced.
- Oil change/tune up was performed.
- Front brake pads were replaced. Rear brakes have 60% pads remaining.
- Radio antennae mast was replaced and works perfectly.
- Air conditioning blows icy cold air.
- Absolutely no oil leaks.
Electrical:
- All electrical parts work perfectly.
- Sunroof works.
- Headlights and fog lights have no typical rock chips, fogging or pitting because they were all replaced with nearly new ones.
Paint:
The non-metallic dark green paint is in good condition but not perfect (I'm picky). There are rock chips, minor scratches and dimples. There are some cracks on the paint on the rear bumper, too small to show in photos.
Chrome and Rubber:
- They are all in excellent condition. Chrome parts show no pitting or clouding. Weatherstripping is in great shape with no fading or cracking.

Interior:


It is in excellent shape overall.
- I'm a non-smoker.
- Floor mats are new.
- The center console with cup holders was replaced with a perfect one (a known weak part).
- All manuals and literature included.
- 2 sets of keys and working remotes.

Tires:
- Good Year Eagle GT (255/40ZR18) tires have 50 - 70% treads remaining on all four.
A note about door handle bezel gaskets:
The rubber gaskets for the door handle bezels are notorious for drying up and falling apart (most Jaguars XJs this age). I have replaced them with rubber strips as seals and to look decent. You can see this in the photos. You may eventually choose to replaced them with factory gaskets.
A note about the lower front grille:
The photos show a mesh grille that match the upper mesh grille.
This is not included.
The original lower grille has single black blade insert which will be with the car (you can see this in the album below). Also the bumper mount for front license plate will be included.
