There were only 4, 209 of these 1989 V-12 Coupes made --under 15% had the TWR kit or options. TWR = Tom Walkinsaw Racing, Jaguar's racing team that won the 24 hour Le Mans in '88 & '90 --among other races, with this same XJ-S Chassis and V-12 engine, which is legendary for being one of Jaguar's greatest powerplants, produced for nearly 25 years and often seen with 250, 000+ miles. The Thinking Man's Super-Coupe'. These were Jaguar's top of the line luxury GT sport coupes competing with: MercedesBenz 560SEC- 500SL -Porsche 928S4 - BMW850i 840Ci - Ferrari 400i, etc.

This is an Amazingly smooth, solid, well-maintained, Rust-Free, Leak-Free, Smoke-Free, Fast, RARE XJ-S. I'll Miss it -winner will love it.
NO Rust. Almost always in California, previously owned for 14 years by a ~70-84 year old woman in Bel Air, CA --always garaged & well serviced at a nearby Jaguar specialist.
The car was donated to a private school from which I bought it in Jan. 2015. Nearly everything in this car is in great working order (except the Cruise control). All: lights, gauges, controls, power windows & locks, power mirrors, power lumbar support, heated seats, rear defrost, stereo, pwr antenna, windshield wipers, washers, trip computer, CD changer, etc. work.-I've just charged the Air Cond. -which was converted to 134a with new compressor & lines, etc. about 7 years ago. It blows strong and Cold.-The Barley leather is in great condition with some normal driver's seat edge wear but No tears, holes or crack-through. (I've just conditioned all leather with Lexol) Rear seats & headliner are like-new. -The wood is also in great condition, with minor varnish cracking on the console but not chipping off. There are NO cracks in the Dash. -The Rare Chromed Sport honeycomb wheels are in like-new condition with almost no scuffs. The tires are good Yokohamas with 85%+ tread. The chrome and trim is excellent, paint is a 7.7 out of 10 with a few chips, 1 small bumper scrape, and some clearcoat clouding on the trunk & small part of the roof. (Aprox. $800 est. to sand out the 3 areas & respray). The hood was repainted and is nearly flawless.
The car starts quickly on 1st try every time and idles so smoothly and quiet that you hardly know it's running. This is a 2/88 production Lucas Ignition car, without the problematic Marelli ignition -which Jaguar used shortly after this car's build date.

Within the driver's doorjam are 2 odometer replacement stickers, 1st done 6/'94 at 19, 105 & 2nd done 5/'96 with + 11, 707 miles --current Odometer & Speedo Work Perfectly -at ~28, 500 for a total of ~59, 400 miles. I drive it a couple times a week -it's a fun, comfortable, great handling, fast car.
Driving to San Diego from Bel Air in 80+ degrees & slow traffic was smooth without any sign of overheating --then after 5 days parked in the garage there were NO drips of anything on the floor underneath.
Driving this XJ-S is a pleasure and thrill which makes the driver feel elegant, comfortable, stylish, fast & powerful all in one. So solid, quiet & smooth on the highway, it's easy to be at 80mph without knowing it --going from 60-100 to pass is quick & quiet with the smooth thrust of a Jet. It gets tons of looks and thumbs up everywhere from people with great taste aged 15-90+ yrs old.
In the past ~5, 000 miles it has had a tune up with new plugs, rotor, air filters, new battery, coolant flush, some new hoses, vacuum lines, etc., the oil & filter changed less than 1000 miles ago. The front and rear inboard brakes had also been redone in the recent past.
This March I had the 4 front Subframe mounts replaced, front wheel bearings repacked, and a full alignment done --at Coventry Cars of San Diego @ $865.
This a car that I drive my mother around in when she visits, so I ensure it's reliable and safe --I've personally gone through the entire engine bay -tightening the several hose clamps, cleaned throttle bodies, checked fuel lines & belts, checked/cleaned any corrosion off dozens of wire connections, etc. I like things to be correct and working right. The car needs almost nothing, and will bring the next owner years of joy in a beautiful Appreciating Asset. It looks to have only 4-5 years of wear -rather than 25...

I only buy quality, well-cared-for, rust-free, un-wrecked cars in excellent condition that will go up in value. An XJ-S in this great condition with Low miles is very hard to find.

You can enjoy it for a few years without much needed and then likely sell it at $20, 000+. High end, low production classic cars have been providing an average of 20%/yr. growth in value/return for a few years -better appreciation than most any other investment. + + And the AC works and was converted to R134a -newer hoses with inlet for R134a & newer 2007 compressor but it's label states R 12 as original... Last week I drove around in 80+ degrees and it blew strong but not cold -so I just charged it with a full 18 oz can of Interdynamics R134a Refrigerant & sealant. -System holds pressure and now Blows Cold !
