I am the third owner of this 1984 Jeep Scrambler. I purchased the Jeep in December 2004 from a fella in North Carolina, who had purchased it from a summer camp. The camp was the original owner and it only had 46, 365 miles on it when I purchased it. This is the second '84 Scrambler that I have owned and never planned on selling it, but I now have a family and it is only a 2-seater, as such I don't get to use it very often. It has taken some time for me to get to the place where I am ready to sell, but now I am.
This awesome Jeep includes:
- T4 transmission- 4wd works as it should- 4 Rugged Country lift
- 33 BF Goodrich tires with at least 50% tread left on them.
- Weber progressive carburetor
- One piece Alloy USA rear axle shafts
- All body mounts have been replaced
- All rubber around roll down windows and doors replaced
- Motor mounts replaced
- New starter
- New battery
- Superwinch front hubs
- New brakes throughout (Stops great!)
- New lights front and rear
- Is rust free
- 54 Smittybuilt trail jack
- Custom rear bumper with tow eyes
- Custom spare tire carrier that will fit 33 tires
- Ammo can in between seats for added storage
- Fire extinguisher next to passenger seat
- Flashlight holder next to driver seat
Comes with bikini top and windshield rail. Both the Chilton and Haynes manuals. A few spare parts.
Was professionally painted in 2015. Not the best paint job ever and was returned to me with the following:
Turn signals do not work. The switch in the steering column needs to be replaced.
Windshield wipers not working. Wiper motor needs to be replaced.
Heater vent is disconnected and vent is in the open position. Cable needs to be reattached. And a paint spill on the passenger seat and the passenger side door panel.
Gas and temperature gauges have not worked the entire time I have owned it.
Overall, this Scrambler runs really strong and is a very nice example of this model. It's perfect for daily driving, as well as hitting the trails. It's looking for a new home where it will be utilized to its full capacity and enjoyed as it should be.
