Needs new windshield wiper hardware on passenger side, and a new front drive shaft. The brake master cylinder leaked and lifted some paint on firewall, speedometer needs to be wired to new sending unit. Other than that it has little wear. It was my daily driver for summers. The new motor is a very recent upgrade. Since I restored it I have 5, 441 miles on everything. The motor and drive shafts were original and I replaced joints but the slip yoke is pretty sloppy in the front shaft. The motor was having some troubles so I just had a 304 rebuilt and put it in rather than mess with the one I bought it with. Pretty much everything was put in new: brakes, gas tank, gas lines and brakes line, all new stainless, all new wiring harness. Everything on the frame and drivetrain was sand blasted and painted. The body has been straightened, refinished inside and out, top and bottom. Over all, the jeep is pretty much ready to go or ready for further modification. No serious problems, no rust, body is solid and straight. We opened the hood up and ducked back the the air breather for cool/ram-Air, and built rocker panel guards that fit the body lines coming off the fenders. Lots of hours and attention to detail has been put into this. The rusted screws in the video have been replaced with new screws.
It gets down and goes! I had planned on putting in a 5 speed with Dana 300 transfer case, but never got that far. However, I do have a 5 speed transmission and Dana 300 out of a newer Jeep that are included with this Jeep. I chose Electric Lime Green base coat with Inca Gold ghost flames.
Over all, this is an excellent Jeep. I hate to sell it but I'd rather it get used. I don’t want it to go to waste sitting in a garage.
