Reduced PRICE!!! Reduced to cover cost of new truck.
Previously relisted for Non payment! If you win the auction, that means you won the item and need to pay for it. Do NOT bid if you can not afford to buy this Jeep. There are others who are bidding that do want this Jeep, and can pay for it. I am a very reasonable person, but I can not wait forever to complete this transaction. Negative feedback will be left for anyone bidding and not paying.
UPDATED 11-2
PRICE REDUCED!!!! I reduced the Asking Price, AND the Best Offer price. I just need to cover the costs of the new truck we just bought. This Jeep is ready to go to a new home!!
Guess What? I’ve got to get rid of her. Just bought a new truck for the family, and I
can’t have them all, so I need to free up some space.
This is a beautiful 1986 Jeep CJ-7 with many new
parts. The motor was rebuilt a few years
ago and only has around 4500 miles on the rebuild. The entire tub was replaced with a brand new fiber glass tub with new
seats and seat belts in the back. There
is a new starter, new starter solenoid, new block heater, and new exhaust (from muffler back) as
well. There will be more pictures coming
but they are on my computer, and if you know me, then you know why they are
still on the computer and not on here. The good news is that the computer is still in one piece…for now.
The front
universal went, but I have a replacement axle, I just have not put it on
yet.
The reason there is a brand new starter and solenoid is
that it was starting every fourth or fifth try. When I turn the key everything goes on (fan, vent, etc.), but it will
not turn over. As soon as I pop the
clutch, she starts right up and then is fine until she sits for a while, and
then repeat. I think it might be the ignition
switch, or neutral safety switch. I just
don’t have the time to figure it out.
This is an awesome CJ-7 that I wanted to keep around
for my kids for when they get older, but I can’t. She comes with a bikini AND a hard top with
hard doors. The passenger window does
not go down on the hard doors. Bikini and
hard top are both black.
There is a custom rear bumper for the spare tire that
also includes a high lift jack. Front
foggers. Almost all paperwork and receipts for last few years.
I really would love to keep this Jeep, but it is just
not in the budget right now. Maybe someday
I’ll buy her back from you!!!
$8000 or Best
Offer. $500 deposit due within 48
hours, or I will need to relist. Buyer
is responsible for all shipping arrangements and charges. Send any questions, and I’ll do my best to
answer them. God Bless.
UPDATE at 1705 hrs 10-25-15 after The Patriots seal the deal!
I have no idea what is going on with this cloud thing, but it is really slow giving me back my pictures. I have two right now, so I'm attaching those. The Jeep is now at Calvin's, but I don't know if he will have time this week to look at the ignition issue. If he does not, then then I will gladly reduce the asking, and best offer price to reflect this.

OK-Calvin said he'd find time this week to figure it
out, but he is crazy busy, so I am not pushing him. I'm adjusting the Best Offer price to reflect
the starting issue.
To answer some of the other questions:
The carb is very good, but could be adjusted. A full tune up (plugs , wires, air filter, etc.) would adjust everything to the way you want it. Oil and filter just changed, and it is ready
to pass inspection without any issues at all.
4x4 was working great until I threw the front
universal. Like I said earlier, there is
a replacement front axle to correct this issue, but I just have not had the
time to put it on yet.
The Tub (the area where all of the seats
are-front and back) is all brand new fiberglass tub and seats, and will pretty
much last forever. The Dog
House (the part where the engine is located at-and front fenders) is
original, but in great shape and will be very good for a long time as well.
The vehicle is sold as is with no
warranties expressed or implied. The
buyer takes full responsibility for this vehicle.
The State of Maine does NOT issue titles for
antique vehicles (over 20 years old) although they will license and transfer without issue (I have a copy of the State Law for this). All that is needed for bank financing is a bill of sale and a copy of the State of Maine law. I know because I had to deal with this when I first registered the Jeep.
This Jeep is ready to roll as is (after correcting
the ignition issue), but as with everything, can be improved if wanted. Unfortunately we don't get to enjoy it as it
should be. The hard top was on almost
all summer because of the weather here, but I still drove it back and forth to
the office (1 1/2 miles each way) and hunting very often. This Jeep is fantastic, and with a just
little bit of work would be Awesome!!

Too answer some of the other questions that I have emailed
back so that others can see them as well (leida_d0w6kbudw-from NH-for whatever
reason your email keeps getting kicked back to me with an error message) I
posting them here:
There are no rust holes or issues with the
frame. She has passed inspection every
year she's been up here without a concern in that area at all. The frame has typical rust for a 1986 Jeep
with channel rust near the leafs, but nothing that is an issue or un-usual. I almost put
that spray on the area last year, but I was told not to even worry about
it. I've gone over the frame with a
hammer just to make sure, and there are no holes or any major issues that I can
see. Just typical almost 30 year old frame
blemishes.
I personally have never taken her off
road. The only dirt I have driven
her on has been logging roads while hunting or fishing. I have not even thought about taking her down
a skidder or ATV trail. That's just
nothing I ever wanted to do with this Jeep. Don't get me wrong, she can more than handle it and come back for more, but I just did not want to do it.
I do not have the receipt for the Tub, so
I'm not sure who the manufacturer is. If
anyone has any ideas as to where to look for it, let me know and I'll check it
out.
The only inspection issue that I ever had was for
seat belts in the back. I corrected the
issue by installing two seat belts in the back seat, and I have even been able
to safely secure a baby seat there.
The State of Maine Title Exemption reads: A Certificate of Title or Certificate
of Salvage need not be obtained for 1.

These pictures were taken this morning at the
garage. I did not have time to wash and
wax her to look extra nice as it was 23 degrees out! She's a little dirty from
people getting in and out. You can see
the seats, doors, new starter solenoid, starter, gages, hard top, high lift
jack, block heater, muffler, etc. As you
can see the frame has typical 30 year old issues, but as previously stated
nothing major or concerning.
The Best Offer price has been reduced.
