I am selling my 1976 CJ7. I am the 3rd owner and the jeep has 22, 000+/- miles on the AMC 304. I was told that the Jeep spent it's first 25+ years on a large South Texas Ranch and was driven very little. The jeep is in fantastic shape and drives great. Over the last 3 years I have replaced or upgraded many parts since the mid 2000's restoration. I did the mechanical upgrades to make the jeep more reliable since I have young children who like to ride in it.
The tub has been rhino lined, new Best Top seats, new tires and Rancho adjustable shocks, New Edelbrock Carb and Intake Manifold. HEI Distributor, Aluminum radiator, new brakes, starter and alternator round out the mechanical upgrades. All gauges work and Jeep Masters just preformed a compression check on the engine and it was perfect. All work was performed by Jeep Masters in Austin Texas and if you are interested they are happy to talk to you about the jeep. I have all the receipts that add up to more than $14, 000.00 in mechanical upgrades. But the Jeep still retains the stock look and feel.
I wanted to keep it as stock as possible and at the same time make it a very reliable driver which it is.
The jeep was manufactured in July of 1975 which makes it one of the very first CJ 7's ever made. The Jeep is a 3 speed automatic and has full time four wheel drive, which was very hi tech in 1976.
