1984 jeep CJ7 164000 miles, 258 inline 6, 4 speed Manuel, has been rewired with a painless performance harness, 4 inch suspension lift, acme hard top and doors, steel smitty built lockable console with radio insert, paint is in bad shape how ever the body is extremely straight the only rust is surface rust. corner panels and rocker panels are solid, the body could be sanded and painted with little to no body works what so ever. engine has had the nutter by pass done removing the computer and emission controls. removing the antiquated emissions system adds horsepower and fuel economy;this allows the engine to run as it was originally designed to with out all that stuff. If you live in an area that requires you to have your vehicle smog tested this one will not pass as it currently sits so consider that before bidding. I have had some issues with it stalling but I changed the fuel filter and that seems to have solved that issue. I am fairly confident that the stalling was caused by bad fuel. Also the stock carb has been replaced with a webber 2 barrel; plugs and wires are also new. other than the stalling issue the engine has always started easy and runs well and doesn't use oil.
