Description:

The Via Flaminia is a historic highway that runs from Rome through the Apennine Mountains to Rimini. It was built in 220 BC, well before Julius Caesar’s reign and it is still used today. It is a challenging drive with rugged mountain passes and incredible scenery. Flaminia is a fitting name for Lancia's exciting automobile.
The Flaminia was positioned at the highest end of Lancia’s offerings. Following the tradition of Italy's most legendary sports car manufactures, most Flaminia's wore bodies designed and coachbuilt the best Italian Carrozerias. Zagato, Touring Superleggera, and Pininfarina all built Flaminia bodies.
Our Flaminia is a sporty convertible that was built by Touring right alongside Maserati’s Vignale 3500s. The Lancia was built in alloy using Touring’s premium Superleggera construction. Superleggera or Super Light is a method of construction where body panels are wrapped around a wire substructure rather than a heavier subframe. Underlining the Lancia’s prestige, the 3500 Maserati was built using less expensive conventional construction with a blend of steel and alloy panels.
Our car is one of only 847 built. It features a 2.5 liter V6 engine. It is a highly desirable 3C model meaning it has triple weber downdraft carburetors. It also has the advanced Lancia features of a rear transaxle and inboard rear disc brakes.
This is similar in size to a Maserati 3500 GT. It is trimmed in premium leather and wool carpeting. Open the door and be wowed by polished stainless steel door jamb linings and three rather than the standard two door guides. The engine has recently been rebuilt by a top rebuilder and runs like a watch. The cosmetics were done in Italy by a Lancia specialists not long ago. The car is quite impressive.
This is the perfect car for vintage rallies like the Colorado Grand. Few people have seen a Flaminia up close and everyone will want to meet you. The car has lots of room and is quite comfortable on the road. It affords wonderful open top cruising and the ability to close tightly in inclement weather. The performance is gamy while the mechanics are dependable.
Don’t think vintage exotics have passed you by. This comes in at the low end of the exotic market with more to offer than many of the more expensive models. Call us for more details. 954 522-9900
