This is a very rare 1964 Series 2 Land Rover. Made originally for the British Army this car has an extensive military history file showing the army bases it toured through during its career. The vehicle was military for 8 years before being turned over for civilian use in 1972. This Land Rover holds a certificate from the British Historic Vehicle Trust, certifying it as a piece of British military history. A one of a kind vehicle, the only one in North America without a doubt! Also included is the original 1964 Army handbook, issued with the vehicle when it was new!!
The car has a four speed gearbox with overdrive and low and high ratio shift. Its in a very nice original condition with no rust, rot or modifications to take away from its history and past. Drives perfectly and will happily cruise at 45mph. Amazing off road capabilities. All the tires are new with plenty of tread, the roof in a very good condition also with no leaks! Roof cover can be rolled up or removed completely to enjoy the weather and feel the drive!
