Welcome to AdventureMotorCar's online listing. You are viewing an Arles Blue 1995 Land Rover Defender 90 Station Wagon. This is #092 of only 500 Station Wagons made in 1995 (these 500 were THE ONLY manual transmission Station Wagons ever produced for the North American market). THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN FRAME OFF RESTORED WITH A NEW GALVANIZED CHASSIS! The CARFAX report is clean and shows only three previous owners.
The FRAME OFF RESTORATION was completed in 2013 by the franchise Aston Martin dealership in Long Island, NY. This Aston Martin dealership completed the frame off restoration with a labor cost of over $27, 000 just 4, 500 miles ago (done at 78, 713 miles). In addition, I have receipts from Rovers North for additional parts totaling nearly $11, 000. This work included a NEW GALVANIZED FRAME (with galvanized fuel tank cradle), rebuilt 3.9L engine, rebuilt transmission, new clutch, new clutch and brake master cylinders, new stainless steel fuel and brake lines, new fuel tank, new fuel pump, new front and rear brakes (pads and rotors), new radiator, new alternator, new starter, new suspension (shocks, springs, towers, plates, and mounting brackets), new stainless steel exhaust, new LED lighting (front and rear), new cubby box, new headliner, and upgraded dash console.
After receiving this vehicle in 2015, we noticed that as nice as the undercarriage and engine bay were restored, the exterior was untouched. We disassembled the body and completed a high quality re-paint including new alloy hinges, alloy hinge hardware, decals, rivets, etc... at a cost of over $10, 000. In addition, we installed new Land Rover gas shocks and new springs, powder coated factory wheels, new 265/75/R16 BF Goodrich tires, new side steps, recovered front seats, and new KBX front grille for an additional $6, 000.
Options include; Galvanized chassis, 3.9L V-8 Engine, R380 5-speed transmission, Air Conditioning, Land Rover side steps, LED lighting (front and rear), 265/75/R16 BF Goodrich All Terrain Tires, 16 Factory Alloy Wheels (freshly powder coated), (6) passenger cloth seating, sunroof, PIONEER AM/ FM/ CD player stereo system, (4) 6.5 Kicker speakers (front and rear), front rubber matting, and more!
The exterior is in very good condition. The finish on the new paint is nice and glossy. The tires are new and the wheels look new. Only very minor imperfections found (see pics).
The interior is in great condition. All six jump seats look good and the carpeting is clean.
This Defender drives very well. The transmission shifts well through all gears. I have the original owner's manual, a set of keys, the original window sticker, some service records, and all restoration receipts.
