This Defender was legally imported last year into Long Beach. It has a fresh clean Arizona Title in hand and is ready to go find a new home.
We are changing the rotors and brake pads, we repaired a clutch fluid leak with a replaced master cylinder, its had new Universal joints fitted to the drive shaft. So this Defender drives really tight, firm and straight. It can hold 75 miles an hour all day on the highway with the 5 speed gearbox and deliver 28- 34 MPG with the diesel engine.
The engine is very strong after the rebuild in 2012. The 200 TDI is in my opinion the best engine they every fitted and I have owned a lot of Defenders. No ECU or bothersome computers to stop you driving. The body work has never been repainted, its the original factory paint and it looks great. Maybe a good buff and some deep polish would benefit it and she would shine. The original wheels give it that factory look.
By all means a new set of wheels would give her a more modern look if you feel she needs it. The interior is in fairly good condition, not perfect and I would say needs a update, although with vinyl seats in the front and cloth in the back its acceptable and there are no rips.
The door panels are not included for the front as I unfortunately lost them in shipping somehow but we can talk about this as I am thinking of a custom made set being thrown in the deal. The chassis is solid and has been undercoated with an anti rust paint.
The doors are solid but in all honesty they could do with a freshening up at the bottom, as there is some corrosion showing, If you spent $2500 on body work, the doors and a few areas this would be a amazing defender.
