Up for sale here is an exceptional 1988 Land Rover D110. The vehicle was acquired earlier this year and shipped to a shop in Florida to be completely reconditioned with no expense spared. The goal of the build was to have a comfortable overland expedition type vehicle which it accomplishes beautifully.
The Rover's diesel engine starts easily and provides ample power for low speed excursions as well as highway cruising at 80mph, all the while returning 30mpg on the highway. The clutch engages positively with no chatter allow easy shifts of the 5 speed manual transmission.
Driving over any terrain is no chore for this D110, as the suspensions, steering, and braking systems have been completely overhauled. The driver is treated to excellent braking with no squeal evident, good tracking on the road at any speed, and a very controlled ride. New Continental X5 tires connect this machine to road on all four corners.
The body and frame are in good condition with no rust. A Safari Rack has been installed with high powered LED light bar for night time navigation.
