2004 Land Rover Discovery SE7

Land Rover Discovery SE7 (2004)
for sale

Price: US $3,000.00

Description:

This beautiful Land Rover Discovery has been my dependable daily driver for the past 6 years. Although it has higher mileage, the 4.6L motor runs strong and the only reason it has been replaced is because I finally opted for a car cheaper on gas. She gets 13 mpg due to her solid build, full-time 4-wheel drive, and solid front and rear axles. This truck is coveted among Land Rover owners - the 2004 Discovery was the last of the true Rovers - maintaining the original Buick 215 (Rover-modified), original chassis and suspension design similar to the Range Rover model. The 2004 models also welcomed back the Locking Differential that allows you to segregate power going to the front and rear axles, both high and low gears. Comforts include power windows, dual sunroofs, heated seats, power seats, heated windshield (my favorite in winter time), headlight washers, cruise control, and stadium seating (that's right - the rear seats sit higher than the front!).
Some recent maintenance includes head gasket replacement (by The Shop - an independent and trustworthy Land Rover repairer in Norcross, GA), new radiator, new high-temp thermostat body, new rear axle hub and seal assembly, beautiful new black headliner, new water pump, new fan clutch, Akebono brakes and new rotors approximately 2 years ago. I have always ran Amsoil fluids in this truck since I bought her with 122k miles - when The Shop broke the heads off to replace the gasket they commented on how clean the heads were, then switched to carrying Amsoil products! The front drive shaft has been replaced with a Tom Woods Heavy Duty Off Road drive shaft - a huge upgrade!
Some areas where she needs attention: needs new tires (can either replace with the standard 18 or I have a full set of 16 OEM rims that will come with it), needs new idler pulley (chirps a bit when it's moist out), rear door lock actuator works intermittently, and recently the rear brake side lights have not been working only when the lights are turned on (high top brake lights work). I recently ordered the two clips that hold the sun visors in place - they both broke when I replaced the headliner - and I will have these on when you pick it up. I just mention that because you'll see them sitting on the dash in the pictures.
I fully believe this truck has a lot of life in it still. I would like to say that unless you are familiar with Land Rovers, I wouldn't recommend one. They require constant attention in the order of making sure fluids are topped-off and everything is in working condition. They are, however solid trucks that will give you years of great, comfortable, service!
I have this truck for sale locally, and reserve the right to end this listing without notice.
