Selling 1997 Land Rover Discovery 1. I am looking to upgrade to a Series II and hopefully find the right buyer who will take care of the Rover and enjoy her like I have.
Has approximately 116, 000 miles. Vehicle runs extremely well and I have taken it on road trips in excess of 5 hours. The A/C blows cold air and drives excellent.
The Land Rover was lifted 2 with new ARB shocks and springs. There are Firestone Wilderness tires with plenty of tread remaining. All of the fluids were changed around 105, 000 miles to BG Fluids. The drivers seat had the old foam removed and new foam was installed. All of the seats have Kexby Seat Covers. It has an ARB bumper and Mantec snorkel (like Camel Trophey Rovers were rigged with). This rig was meant to go off-road - and go off-road hard! I have the original Rover keyless entry and I have genuine Land Rover keys.
The interior is very great condition. None of the seats are ripped. Some areas the carpet is thin - but you can cover with a floor mat.
Issues with the Rover is small oil leaks around the engine - which is very common on Rovers. The headliner has sagging and was reglued with metal tacks to ensure it stays up. The clock doesn't work on the dash board. The rear sun roof can not open - however it doesn't leak water. The driver heated seat was removed. There is some missing plastic on the automatic gear shifter. And some sap looks to have oxidized some smaller areas on the hood. The whole underbody was coated about two years ago. There is some flaking rust on the rear step - but is completely usable. Finally, the cruise control doesn't operate.
