FOR SALE - Classic 21-year-old LAND ROVER DISCOVERY
Land Rover Discovery, 1994, first year of USA production, well cared for & has been in storage for the last few years. Performs like in a dream – just drove around Lake Tahoe – and looks sleek in its original Emerald Green Metallic exterior with Bahama Beige interior. Driven only 5, 000 miles per year, and has less than 105, 000 total miles. No immediate issues; doesn't need anything critical. Engine purrs. No steering wobbles, even at 70mph. Driving this Rover is a pleasant and enjoyable experience, with the leather seats providing comfort and style. A fine vehicle kept for 12 years in top condition.
SHIPPING
Shipping at buyers expense, and this vehicle MUST BE PICKED-UP OR SHIPPED-OUT WITHIN FIVE DAYS of purchase (seller is leaving and cannot keep it longer).
RUST FREE
Rust free. This Rover has spent its life in sunny dry Nevada and California since brand new. Only the second muffler shows decay, but still muffles the engine as designed. No rust under the beautiful Metallic Emerald Green exterior paint.
SERVICED
This Discovery was serviced by Land Rover dealers and Rover-specific independent shops. Driven very little, but used yearly, serviced with care.
NO ACCIDENTS
No accidents. No dents. One little dime-sized ding over the front driver wheel (cannot see it in the photos). Amazing after 21 years on the road.
PAINT
Original paint still in fine condition all around; except, the hood (or bonnet), where the paint has faded and tree-pitch marked the surface. Rather than repaint the hood, and risk being accused of hiding something, it's been left for the next owner to decide what to do. No rust.
EMISSIONS
Has previously passed Nevada emissions test with flying colors ... expect it would pass California emissions.
TRANSMISSION
No leaks. Brand new transmission fluid.
ENGINE
No knocks, no bangs, no major leaks, no burning oil. Slight leak usual with Land Rovers. No engine work done or necessary. This Rover starts right up at first try.
RADIATOR
New radiator, as engine was overheating last year. Flows strong and keeps this Discovery cool on the hottest California or Nevada day, even with the AC on while climbing up a mountain.
ALTERNATOR
Brand new Bosch rebuilt alternator.
BATTERY
Brand new battery with 800 cold-cranking amps.
TRICKLE CHARGER INCLUDED
A 750mA 12V trickle charger is included; keeps the battery charged when vehicle's not being used.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The electrical system just checked out great.
MUFFLER
Mufflers work as expected, but the second at rear will need replacing soon.
BRAKES
Brakes pads okay in the front and rear. No ABS or traction control lights or issues!
SHOCKS
Newer shocks.
4X4
Full-time 4x4 system, offers great traction in snow: Low and High 4WD both work fine!
TIRES
Goodrich T/A KO Mud+Snow tires; about 70% wear with traction remaining for upcoming snow season.
WHEELS
The OEM alloy wheels look handsome.
ROOF RACK
The OEM roof rack has not been used, so is in original condition.
GLASS
The windshield is okay. Tinted door glass is clear with no chipping or fading.
POWER LOCKS & DOORS
Power locks work, except passenger door must be locked separately. Driver door sometimes locks itself – but other doors stay unlocked so not a worry: European mechanic this week declared he could repair it. The door panels all around are clean and in excellent condition.
POWER WINDOWS
All four power windows work; likewise do the power dual sunroofs open/shut via motors.
SEATS
The leather seats offer comfortable support. No rips, tears, and minimal wear.
HEADLINER
OEM headliner is in excellent condition!
CARPET
OEM carpet in the truck is still good. Could use cleaning. No holes, no tears, no rips.
RADIO W/CASSETTE DECK
OEM radio/cassette functions, but when battery was changed, it lost its code; this code is needed to resume operation, but the original owner didn't pass it on. Supposedly, a Rover dealer can provide it.
POWER ANTENNAE
Was bent years ago, and is too stiff to go up/down by the motor, which still functions.
AC/HEAT
AC sends out cold, and heater is hot.
MIRRORS
Power mirrors work, although bicyclist hit the left one years ago, and it was repaired.
STEERING WHEEL
No wear.
CARGO AREA
Cargo carpet in good shape. Two drop down leather seats never used.

This Land Rover is sold AS-IS with NO warranty. This is a used car and will have signs of use. Although this classic 1994 Discovery is likely one of the best on the road, please do not expect a showroom brand-new car. It does have 105, 000 miles on it. And eventually every car will break ... if you know of one that doesn't please tell everyone the secret … whenever this Land Rover has broken it's been repaired. Please only bid if you intend to buy! This Discovery must be picked-up or shipped-out within five days, as seller will be leaving (although arrangements can be made for later pick-up by a shipping company at a specified location). All sales are final.
