Up for sale is my 1969 Land Rover Series IIA 88. Engine is the original 2.25L 4 speed, with the optional Fairey overdrive.
Just back from a thorough renovation and service at the local Rover specialist:New brakes all around, brand new head and carburettor, as well as a full gearbox rebuild using a Series 3 full synchromesh gearbox. Body was painted over two years ago, inside and out, and presents well.no significant rust on the frame.
Interior is in good condition as shown in the photos. Currently configured with hard top and reinforcing brackets for the 3 -point safety harnesses. Also comes with:-Rear pickup door (fold down) , good for when you run topless. painted to match rest of truck.-Hood mounted spare wheel and (standard size) tire.-Rear door mounted rack for spare wheel (including spare to match the 4 mounted wheels).-a heavy duty jack and a hand crank just in case you need to start it on a dead battery!-a visor peak accessory that mounts above the windshield (i find it limits visibility too much)
This Rover starts easily, runs strong, and shifts smoothly through all 4 gears, +Hi/Low+ Overdrive.Will cruise at highway speed easily when in overdrive.The only non functioning items at the moment are the turn signals. They were working fine before the paint job, so there is probably just a missed connection in the loom somewhere. Also, I'm beginning to suspect the gas level gauge is off. it may need a new float for the gas tank.Currently California registered and up to date. No fees are due.

Listed here at no reserve, but the Rover is listed locally and is subject to local sale. Also open to trading it toward a pre-1970 Alfa Romeo GT Junior.
