I am the second owner of this RRC. The first owner was a doctor who lived in Portland, OR and drove to Tacoma to work several times per week.
Has lots of highway miles. 218000 miles. Runs great. Will cruise 85 on the freeway with no effort. No smoke. The rig has been serviced by Doug Shipman at Ship's Mechanical all its life. Doug is one of the most knowledgeable Rover mechanics around.
There is ZERO rust on this RRC. You will not find an unmolested original like this very often. The interior is gorgeous. Seats are almost perfect.
This rig has never been off road (other than a few gravel and dirt county roads)
The alarm works. Includes key fob.
No warning lights on dash!
Rebuilt brake pump
New headliner installed by Ship's.
Sunroof works. No leaks
Ice cold a/c works great
Heater works great
Air springs replaced by LR genuine springs

Couple of things to note
Cruise doesn't work
Fabric on sunroof shade is loose
Some minor oxidation on roof
Small paint chips on hood from freeway grime
small ding on the right, front corner of the hood (bonnet) from the old pushbar. I recently removed the original bumper and installed a rare Great Divide aluminum bumper. These are very light and look great. They also provide much more protected than the stock brush guard.
I do not want to sell this Classic, but I have to. I have too many cars in front of my house. Our association has given me a mandate to reduce our fleet. My wife says one has to go.
It's probably the nicest I've ever driven. I wouldn't be afraid to drive across the country.
I've talked to several guys who fix up and restore Rovers. In the words of Joel Mercer, the Classic is the new Defender. This Classic will keep appreciating. Unmolested, rust free Classics in this shape are rare. Look at the other eBay auctions, , and you'll see.
I know this rig has a lot of miles, but it runs and drives great.
