Up for sale is our 1997 Lexus LX 450. This vehicle is in good condition and is currently being driven daily. It has a little over 195K miles. This vehicle has all of it's factory body panels and has not had any paintwork done on the metal body that I can see. The rocker trim panel on the rear passenger door over the wheel well has been painted, probably from a minor encounter of some type. The interior is very clean and we do have the third row seats that look new. It has never been smoked in.The front buckets have new skins that are 3 years old. It is obvious this vehicle has not been off roaded. We have kept all maintenance up to date. In the past 12000 miles we have replaced the front and rear brakes, the trans and diff fluids, all filters, NEW AC system, radiator flush, new spark plugs, new battery, and many other maintenance items. The tires have 80% tread remaining. This 450 has the coveted DIFF LOCKERS!!! They work perfectly. This vehicle is a tank in snow and ice! The LX also comes with a Viper alarm system with two remotes and two keys.
If I were to keep the truck, I would replace the shocks in 5-10, 000 miles, but they are ok. There is a small coolant leak which I will fix...the part is ordered. The hood and roof paint have faded spots, and one of the rocker trim panels could use a respray. Overall, the body and paint look good for a 20 year old vehicle. The front bumper has a small dent from an encounter with a deer. The deer did not make it, and the bumper is hardly chipped! There is surface rust only on the undercarriage. This has been a southern vehicle most of it's life, so the frame is solid. This 450 would be an excellent candidate to lift and trick out, or it can be a great local daily driver. The radio works well as does the cassette player. The E-brake needs repair. The kit is $95. The driver seat motor does not work forward or backward, we have it manually set back. The recline function works fine. The LX will be due for an oil change in 2000 miles.
We will be driving the vehicle, so the mileage may increase slightly. I also have the 450 listed locally, so the auction could end without notice. Feel free to email me if any questions arise.
