If your in need of a Time Capsule from 1996 you will want to take a look at this SC-This SC 400 was purchased in 1996 from Jim Fauk Lexus in Beverly Hills also serviced there according to Desert Lexus here in Palm Springs where I took it in to have the transmission fluid serviced. Lexus has the service records for this vehicle since new. Just replaced was a new OEM timing belt/water pump kit, serpentine belt, automatic tension adjuster, timing belt tensioner, timing belt idler, thermostat, front crankshaft seal, and the two camshaft seals. A fresh oil change/filter was completed and as I said the transmission fluid has been changed. In addition the SC has all new Hancook tires and a fresh new battery installed.This is a 20 year old Lexus that is un-molested in all Original Beautiful condition. It still looks like new and also ready to be driven for the next 20 years. When the original owner passed away the wife rarely drove this SC then upon her passing I purchased the vehicle. I elected to replace the timing belt/water pump etc due to the vehicle not being driven much in the last 10 years just to make sure it was in perfect driving condition. You will be impressed with the condition of the SC. The Black Leather Interior looks beautiful and shows little to no signs of wear also the exterior Black Onyx paint still shines and is beautiful.Very rare to find a 20 year old Lexus in this condition and just turning 74k miles. It's like driving a new car and is quite stunning to drive, like I said it's a time capsule! There is no deferred maintenance on the SC and all options function properly. It has been garaged it's whole life in the Southern California area. Options installed on this SC in 1996 included the Sunroof, Spoiler, premium Nakamichi Sound System w/CD changer which still sound great. My photo's may not due this car justice , so you know. If your interested in these SC's which are just turning the corner to become classic's you don't want to miss this one. It's very clean as is the engine bay which looks new. Original Lexus floor matts are with the vehicle as is the original first aid kit, full size spare tire and tools which appear in new condition. Original Owner's Manuel and 2 keys w/remote are with the vehicle.
