1965 Lincoln Continental Convertible. Factory AC and Tilt Steering. This is a project car with 84K on the odometer that needs very little mechanically with a fully functional top mechanism and near perfect rust free deck lid. Current Tabs and Clean Title.
Look closely at the floor pans and door jams as well as the underside of the deck lid and hood. This car is in amazing rust free condition save for three of the quarter panels. I was told by the previous owner that this car was stored in a warehouse since the 1970's and some rodents made nests inside all the quarter panels causing rust from the inside out. I have new quarter panels in amazing condition that come with the car. The way quarter panels fit on these Lincolns the seams are hidden under trim and in the door jams making it easy to fix the rusted quarters.
From the factory the deck lids weren't painted between the skin and frame and they all had a tendency to rust from the inside out. This Deck lid has no rust through, only some mild surface rust. I would estimate the deck lid itself to be worth $3000. The convertible top mechanism functions well and properly in all cycles which itself is very valuable.
This car runs and drives and shifts well and brakes strong and straight. The engine has a lifter tick that I'm told should resolve by just driving it and it does smoke a little especially when it’s first started. The compression is very good between 152 and 165 on all cylinders. I would recommend having the heads rebuilt and replace the stuck lifter while it’s open. I have pictures of the compression check that I did both dry and wet.
Rebuilt / resealed radiator and expansion tank. New rebuilt water pump. New fuel pump. New Edelbrock Carburetor. New Plugs Wires Cap Rotor Condenser. New Complete Factory Exhaust System with 4 mufflers. Differential Cleaned and Serviced. Valve Covers and Air Cleaner Powder coated. The fuel tank could use cleaned.
New Top of the line Factory correct white wall tires with less than 100 miles on them. The Wheels have been Powder coated the factory correct color.
The entire Brake System has been gone through and rebuilt or replaced with premium parts. New Front Brake calipers and Rotors turned with lots of material left on them. New Rear Wheel cylinders matched to the drums which have been powder coated. New Master Cylinder and proportioning valve.
The leather seats have no rips or tears and could be dyed a different color if you choose. The six way power seats work in 4 directions the forward and back directions turns the motor but the seat doesn't move. I suspect it just needs the switch under the seat lubricated. Convertible top material needs replaced. All four door panels are in fantastic condition and could simply be dyed if you choose. The passenger side rear door needs put back together but all parts are there and labeled to make the job easier. The pneumatic door locks are not working at this time I believe it’s due to the one rear door being apart
The Dash has been completely gone through and refurbished to amazing condition. And the color has been changed to black to match what was planned to be a black interior. All the Gauges in the dash work. The clock and radio do not work at this time. The tilt / adjustable steering column works manually. All the heater and AC controls work. The AC needs reconnected in the engine compartment and recharged.
All the glass is good and two good windshields come with the car. Along with all the parts to put back together. Missing one engine brace (easy to find). All of the parts that come with this car are high quality parts that either originally came with the car or were sourced and acquired. In some cases there are 2 or 3 parts options to choose from. The front bumper and bumper ends are good driver quality. The rear bumper center is good driver quality and the rear bumper ends have a couple dings in them.

Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I am happy to store the car for a reasonable amount of time to give the buyer time to arange shipping or transport.
