1962 Lincoln Continental convertible, a driver quality cared for survivor, unrestored with upgraded systems.
Rare color combination of Royal Red Poly with matching Royal Red interior.
Older re-paint approximately 20 years old, not perfect, but shows well, with clear coat still shiny, there are misc. scrapes and scratches, two small paint bubbles on engine hood, and some touch ups here and there. Original body panels have the usual dings and scrapes of life of an 53 year old vehicle, two areas that have minor rust are the lower edges of rear quarter panels, where bondo is present.
Exterior chrome and stainless steel is in good to excellent condition, with small abrasions and scuffs, typical of age.
Vinyl top appears to be at least 20 years old, but without holes or tears. top frame with original paint is in excellent original condition.
The interior is completely original, leather has the usual cracks, rear seat has a tear ( see photo) All vinyl portions of upholstery are in excellent condition. Door panels are also in excellent condition.
Interior Chrome and bright work is all original and in near perfect condition, no pitting whatsoever, painted sections in excellent condition. gauge lenses are clear and immaculate with no fogging.
Dashboard is pristine with no cracks or fading.
Wood veneer inlays are all original with a patina from age.
Bakelite plastic on steering wheel, control knobs, vent windows are immaculate.
Carpet is original, faded with age but intact without holes or tears.
Trunk interior carpet and chip board side panels and spare tire cover are original. Interior of rear deck lid is original paint, no rust evident, original factory paint stamp still present, all Ford factory labels still affixed to wiring.
All rubber insulation throughout the car is original and intact, still supple, indicating the car was garaged and not stored outside in the elements.
